The Four Pillars of Creativity

In this place we call home, we have to have laws to keep our community safe. These laws consist of four pillars. If you follow the four pillars, creativity can flourish.

Be friendly

We want to keep our cave a happy and welcoming place for all. This means:

• Be kind to everyone, even if you don't agree with them.
• If you see someone being unkind, don't try to be unkind back. Just report and block.
• Don't use cheats or exploits to ruin others fun or gain an unfair advantage. We don't mind if you mod the game client, just don't use it for evil, and don't make it paid.
• Don't spam. We don't have the infrastructure to handle large amounts of it, and it can actively detriment the experience of others.
• Don't post malicious links (such as a fake login page), here or elsewhere.
• Don't attempt to scam users for Cash, in-game items, or anything else of value.

Be safe

We want to you, and others, to be safe from harm. This means:

• Cave of Dreams is 13+ (16+ in Australia). If you are found to be under the minimum age, you will be banned!
• Think before you send: don't send personal or private information to others.
• Please don't hurt, or attempt to hurt, yourself or others. If you or someone else are having thoughts of suicide/self-harm, there is help available. Contact a suicide prevention hotline, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
• See something that's against our rules? Report it via the Flag button, or via the offending user's profile page.
• This shouldn't need to be pointed out, but DO NOT HARASS PEOPLE. If we don't point it out here, eventually someone's going to do it and complain when they inevitably get banned.
• Please, no 18+ pornographic images or content. We currently don't have the resources to curate 18+ content.

Be civil

Civility keeps hatred & negativity away, allowing creativity to flourish. We don't allow any of the following:

• Content that supports, glorifies or recreates real-world sensitive events.
• Content involving recent politics. You may talk about these topics in chat if you'd like, just don't be obnoxious about it, and don't let it get heated.
• Extreme realistic gore (Cartoony gibs are usually OK as long as you mark things with a content warning.)
• Content that glorifies or promotes drugs (or any illegal content for that matter!)
• Gambling or sweepstakes-style dreams.

Be decent

Decency is probably the most important pillar, helping to prevent greed, arrogance and malice.

• Hatred is not tolerated, you will be banned permanently! This mostly means hatred involving race, sexuality, gender, etc. but if you find something else we can still ban you!
• Do not sell in-game content for real-world money.
• Do not sell items for Cash that give players a significant gameplay advantage (pay-to-win).
• No gambling! This includes sweepstakes, lootboxes, actual gambling, etc.
• Please behave yourself on external platforms.
• Do not share AI-generated assets on this site (using it to assist with stuff is fine, just don't share AI-generated content itself!) Never use the content of Cave of Dreams or any related services to train AI models - we will ban you, no exceptions!

Some other things to note:

• Spirit of the law > letter of the law; this means that we can still ban you if you find a loophole in these rules.
• On that topic, we reserve the right to moderate or remove content at any time, for any reason.
• These rules are NOT FINAL, they may change at any time! We'll make sure to notify you when they change.
